Like the rapid change of servers, high-density computing and the surge in data volume have also promoted the development of storage technology. Traditional storage SANs are moving towards all-flash arrays, hybrid arrays, and distributed storage. At the conference, Zhao Jizhuang, an expert from China Telecom, and Wang Juan, an expert from China Mobile respectively introduced the project plan of ODCC distributed storage. Compared with array storage, distributed storage has the advantages of scalability, easy management, and low power consumption.

Not only computing power equipment, with the advent of the 5G era, in order to better support high-density, large-bandwidth, and low-latency service scenarios, network transmission technology is also constantly innovating. One of the solutions is to shift the computing model to the edge. The development of edge computing has led to the emergence of edge data centers. Wang Shaopeng, an expert from the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, introduced ODCC's test research on edge data centers. In addition to the calculation mode, technical upgrades of switches, optical modules, and light-speed copper cables have also brought great convenience to data center network transmission. China Mobile expert Yang Hongwei, Huawei expert Sun Liyang, China Mobile expert Li Suyang and Melexis expert Song Qingchun and Zhu Pengzhi brought new technology projects in different data center network scenarios. The current data center traffic doubles almost every three years, and there is a strong demand for large bandwidth. Long-distance and short-distance network transmissions will face new challenges. Zhang Huan and Wang Zhongping, experts from the US Mission, respectively introduced related research plans for optical modules and copper cables.
